Castles

  • Sissinghurst Castle Garden

    View the gorgeous gardens of Sissinghurst Castle and find out more about the history of the 16th century castle.

  • Bodiam Castle

    Take a tour of this 14th century moated castle and view the ruined interior. Enjoy a relaxing day of history as you stroll around the grounds.

  • Leeds Castle

    Leeds castle is a perfect family day out. You can look around the castle which has been stood in the beautiful moat for almost 900 years, or explore the 500 acres of parkland the castle has to offer. Check out their 'What's On' page for event details.

Cranbrook Sites

  • Cranbrook Museum

    Currently showing '500 years of Cranbrook School', which will change to 'Writers in Cranbrook: Past and Present' in August.

  • St Dunstan's Church

    Have a tour around St Dunstan's church and find out about its history which dates back almost 1,000 years and in turn, the history of Cranbrook town. If you'd like to know more about what's on, or just find out some more about the church, visit their website using the link below.

  • Cranbrook Windmill

    The tallest standing smock mill in the British Isles is open to view on selected days throughout the summer, take a look at their website to find out when you can tour this treasure of Cranbrook.

  • Kent & East Sussex Railway

  • The Hop Farm

    Attractions include Giant Jumping Pillows, Driving School, Magic Castle, Bumper Carz, Outdoor Adventure Play Area, Childrens Rides and live magic shows and discos fThe Animal Farm features donkeys, horses and plenty of cuddly creatures to get close to.

  • Bedgebury Pinetum and Forest

    There are so many things to do at Bedgebury Pinetum so we'll leave the list on their website! One of their main attractions is Go Ape, so if you're feeling a bit wild, take the leap and give it a go!

  • Bewl Water

    Bewl Water is suitable for all ages and abilities.  You can walk, ride, cycle (you can hire bikes at Bewl)  and sail here! Again too much to list so take a look at their website.

Adult Affairs

  • The Kino

    Fancy a film? Head down to Hawkhurst and watch in comfort at The Kino. Family friendly but with a sophisticated atmosphere, this cinema is very different from an ODEON or Cineworld.

  • Forest Live
